Tennis Ace

Comments: Never really played many other tennis games to compare, but the fact that along years I've three times played this through AND grinded max stats says how much I enjoy this one.

Comments: Really got on my nerves when I'd beaten it dozen times and tried to do an A result... Not totally great, but kept me playing.

Comments: You still don't see this good playability often.

Comments: I mostly never liked platformers, but you just can't quit playing until you finish this.

Double Dragon

Comments: About last game I bought to SMS back in '93 or something... Guess I started to be bit tired on gaming and didn't have anyone for 2-player, so I didn't enjoy this as much as some of you obviously did.

Comments: In the tradition of Rogue and Hack, this is a great game. One of the very best of SMS.

Fantasy Zone

Comments: Makes you wonder why there's a million sideways scrolling shoot'em-ups all alike and only one Fantasy Zone (well yes actually 2, I know)

Comments: True classic. The amazing thing is that the SMS pad is just PERFECT for Populous; it's much better to play then on PC.

Hang On & Safari Hunt

From: Tomi Kaunisto
Comments: I too got this build-in. Light Phaser got boring surprisingly soon and Safari Hunt isn\'t my favourite LP game. Hang On on the other hand is one of the games I play on SMS most these days (every once in a year on my nostalgy season).

Phantasy Star

Comments: Doesn\'t the amount of 10/10\'s on this page say it all? And the fact that PS was the only SMS game to start a (more or less) still continuing series? Let us also note how few other SMS games have homepages. Does this all not testify of the glorious beauty The Game? \"Best\" is a word used too often and too easily, but here... nothing less can be said.

The Ninja

Comments: My first game (besides the build-in ones). Never found the scrolls, but did beat the 12 levels. I got blisters on my left thumb with this game (seriously!)

Comments: Long ago it was impressive, but after trying the PC (or other computer) version one inevitably notes how much the lack of mouse troubles playability. Why don\'t they even today have mouses with any console?

Great Golf

2001-03-17
From: Tomi Kaunisto
Comments: Like the real thing, all computer and video game golf is annoying and irritating. However, this one is LESS than most others. It also has a great, rare feature for SMS game: 1-4 players. My best score ever was +2. I once got a Hole-in-One! (hole 5, I think; some par 3)

Comments: Pretty boring... I bought this for 5 finnish marks (= $1) and I'd say it's exactly worth that.

Super Kick Off

2001-03-17
From: Tomi Kaunisto
Comments: Difficult to get hang on, but not bad. It's the little details like getting to choose your colors and referee and players having names and that chosen language (of 8!) affects on names of teams and players (Swedish teams... hmmm...) Also, it's fun to injure the opponents and gather cards (thought for some reason you can only get 4 red cards in one game; that's lame). Pretty tough computer goalie.

Slap Shot

From: Tomi Kaunisto
Comments: I've never liked NHL games. Not NHL93 on Genesis/Mega Drive and not NHL2000 on PC. But this simple little game I do like. Completely player-controlled goalie is more of my taste. Stupid computer gets soon boring, but this is great twoplayer game.

Rampage

Comments: One of the best 2-player games, but I've also played it through solo at least ten times along years. Just keep going back to it, one can't help it.
